Everest Base Camp Adventure
OVERVIEW
Embark on an unforgettable journey through the stunning landscapes of Nepal, starting with your arrival in Kathmandu. You’ll explore the vibrant city and its cultural landmarks before heading to the Everest region. Fly to Lukla and trek through picturesque villages, lush forests, and along the Dudh Kosi River. The trail takes you to Namche Bazaar for acclimatization, then continues through Tengboche with its famous monastery, to Dingboche and the serene Chukkung Valley. These acclimatization days prepare you for higher altitudes as you trek towards Lobuche and Gorak Shep, culminating in an awe-inspiring hike to Kala Patthar for panoramic views of Mount Everest.
The return journey retraced your steps through the Everest region, descending through beautiful rhododendron forests to Namche Bazaar and then back to Lukla. Celebrate the completion of your trek with fellow adventurers before flying back to Kathmandu. Enjoy some final time in the city to shop and explore before transferring to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure. This comprehensive itinerary offers a blend of adventure, acclimatization, and cultural immersion, ensuring a memorable Himalayan experience.
Detailed Itinerary

After breakfast, cross several suspension bridges over the Dudh Kosi River. Traverse through Tok-Tok, Bhenkar, and Monjo before arriving at Sagarmatha National Park’s entrance gate to purchase your permit. Follow the river bed and then tackle a steep uphill climb to reach Namche Bazaar. This vibrant town offers numerous amenities, including restaurants and ATMs. Enjoy a night at a local lodge with dinner. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Spend the day acclimatizing in Namche Bazaar, the hub of the Everest region. Engage in a short hike to Everest View Resort, explore nearby villages like Khunde, or relax and explore the town. Visit the Tourist Visitor Center to learn about Everest’s history and Sherpa culture. Namche Bazaar also features a colorful market and various facilities. Rest and prepare for higher altitudes. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

The trek today follows the glacial waters of the Dudh Kosi, offering spectacular mountain views including Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam. Arrive at Tengboche at 3,800 meters and visit the renowned Tengboche Monastery. Marvel at the monastery’s ornate wall hangings and religious artifacts. Depending on your schedule, witness a prayer ceremony in the evening or morning. Overnight at a lodge with dinner included. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche, with the final ascent being particularly challenging due to the high altitude. Pass through Somare and Orsho, each with lodges, before continuing to Dingboche (4,460m). This village offers excellent guesthouses and breathtaking views. Relax and acclimate to the altitude, preparing for the next day’s activities. Enjoy a cozy night at a local lodge. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Spend the day acclimatizing with a hike to Chukkung Valley (4,730m) or Island Peak. Alternatively, visit the Nagkartshang Gompa for panoramic views or attend an altitude sickness lecture in Pheriche. The trail offers stunning views of Taboche, Nuptse, and Ama Dablam. Return to Dingboche for the night or continue to Chukkung for additional acclimatization. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Begin the trek to Lobuche with an easy walk to Thukla, then cross the steep moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. Pass memorials for fallen mountaineers before continuing along the Khumbu Glacier moraine. Enjoy views of Khumbutse, Lingtren, and Mahalangur Himal. Arrive in Lobuche and settle in for the night, preparing for the upcoming trek to Everest Base Camp. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep, passing the Indian army mountaineers’ memorials. Navigate rocky dunes, moraine, and streams to reach Everest Base Camp. The site offers stunning views of Everest, Khumbutse, Nuptse, and Pumori. After exploring Base Camp, return to Gorak Shep for the night. Prepare for an early morning hike to Kala Patthar. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Start the hike to Kala Patthar early, in pre-dawn darkness and cold temperatures. Ascend through chilly winds to reach Kala Patthar (5,550m) for a panoramic view of Mount Everest and surrounding peaks. After soaking in the breathtaking vistas, descend to Lobuche and continue to Pangboche for a well-deserved rest. Celebrate your achievement with a satisfying meal. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Descend from Pangboche, crossing the Imja Khola and climbing through rhododendron forests to Tengboche. Enjoy the chance to observe religious ceremonies at Tengboche Monastery. After lunch, continue through colorful rhododendron and juniper forests, keeping an eye out for wildlife. Cross the Dudh Kosi River and reach Namche Bazaar for an overnight stay. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Complete your trek with a return journey to Lukla, reflecting on the memorable experiences and achievements of the trek. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon in Lukla with a hot shower and celebrate with fellow trekkers. Share stories and celebrate your accomplishments with drinks and dancing. Overnight in Lukla, with dinner included. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu in the morning, concluding your trek. Upon arrival, you have free time to rest or explore the city further. Catch up on any missed sightseeing or shopping. Our guides will assist you with any last-minute needs, ensuring a smooth end to your adventure. Breakfast included.

Travel Information
Destination Location
Lake Manyara National Park covers 330 sq km (127 sq mi), 70% of which is a lake. Along with its western boundaries is the Rift Valley’s western wall. The park is famous for its birdlife – almost 400 different species – and for its elephant population and tree-climbing lions, who have a large variety of tree species to choose from. The short game-viewing circuit through Manyara offers a microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience.
One of nature’s true wonders and a photographer’s paradise, Ngorongoro is the largest intact crater in the world, covering 265 square kilometers (102 sq mi). The 2,000-foot deep crater is home to an abundance of wild game including elephants, rhinos, cheetahs, lions, leopards, hyenas, serval cats, jackals, pushbacks, elands, waterbucks, wildebeest, many antelope, and a large variety of birds. This is a sight that you will always remember!
Tarangire National Park covers 6,734 sq km (2,600 sq mi) and includes two large plains and a seasonal swamp in the south. This is a beautiful park filled with Baobabs and Acacias with a large variety of game such as zebras, elephants, giraffes, and waterbuck. All the animals enjoy the water coming from the Tarangire River. The animals are best viewed during the dry season, including elephant herds, elands, oryx, lesser kudo, rhino, leopards, lions, and cheetah. The birdlife is varied and plentiful. You can also see the very rare Roam Antelope in this park.
