Detailed Itinerary

Upon arrival at Kathmandu’s Tribhuvan International Airport, a Sherpa Expedition & Trekking representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. You will receive a briefing on your upcoming Lobuche Peak climb, including a detailed map of the route. Spend the rest of the day exploring the area around your hotel or preparing your gear for the trek. In the evening, your guide will provide a comprehensive introduction to the trek and answer any questions you may have. No meals are included today.

After breakfast, your guide will take you to the domestic terminal at Kathmandu Airport for a 40-minute flight to Lukla. Enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas en route. Upon arrival at Tenzing-Hillary Airport, begin your trek passing through Kyangma Village with its large Gompa (monastery). Continue through Cheplung Village and descend through the forest along the Dudh Kosi River. Cross a suspension bridge and climb across the ridge to Ghat Village. Finally, arrive at Phakding for the night. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Start your day by crossing a bridge over the Dudh Kosi River and passing through picturesque villages like Tok-Tok, Benkar, and Monjo. Reach the entrance gate to Sagarmatha National Park and follow the riverbed before tackling a steep climb to Namche Bazaar. Namche is a bustling town with restaurants, pubs, and an internet café, perfect for relaxation and exploration. Spend the evening enjoying the local amenities and preparing for the higher altitudes. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Spend the day acclimatizing to the altitude in Namche Bazaar. Engage in a short trek to Thame or Khunde, or explore the town and visit its weekly market. Your guide will take you to the Tourist Visitor Center near Sagarmatha National Park headquarters, showcasing relics of the first Everest climbers and local flora and fauna. Staying active will help you adjust to the altitude. Enjoy the vibrant market scene and learn more about Sherpa culture and the Everest region. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Today’s trek follows the Dudh Kosi River, offering stunning mountain views as you climb to Tengboche Village (3860m). The village is renowned for its monastery, featuring ornate wall hangings, a 6-meter Buddha statue, and traditional Tibetan instruments and robes. Attend the evening prayer ceremony at the monastery, experiencing the tranquil and soothing Tibetan chants and mantras. This serene atmosphere provides a memorable highlight of the trek. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Begin your trek to Dingboche with a journey through Somare (4010m) and Orsho. The trail then splits, with the left path leading to Pheriche Village. After crossing a bridge, tackle a steep ascent to Dingboche Village (4410m). Despite the challenging final climb, the village offers comfortable lodges for the night. Enjoy the stunning views and prepare for the higher elevations to come. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Today’s trek takes you to Lobuche, passing through Dughla Village and crossing a steep moraine at the base of the Khumbu Glacier. Reach Chupki Lhara, where memorial stones honor climbers Scott Fischer and Babu Chiri Sherpa. Continue to Lobuche, with breathtaking views of peaks like Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori, and Mahalangur Himal. The evening offers a chance to reflect on the day’s achievements and prepare for the ascent to higher altitudes. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Head to higher elevations today, passing Gorak Shep Lake and a memorial for Indian mountaineers. The trek involves navigating rocky moraines and streams before reaching Everest Base Camp (EBC). From EBC, admire the colorful tents and stunning views of Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Khumbutse, and Mt. Pumori. After exploring the base camp, descend to Gorak Shep for a restful overnight stay. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Rise early for a pre-dawn hike to Kala Patthar, where you’ll experience breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Everest and surrounding peaks. Prepare for cold temperatures and strong winds as you climb. At Kala Patthar (5550m), enjoy the stunning sunrise and capture unforgettable photos of Everest and the Himalayas. Return to Gorak Shep for breakfast, then descend to Lobuche Village for the night. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Trek from Lobuche to Lobuche Base Camp and then ascend to Lobuche High Camp at 5600m/18,368 ft. The climb takes approximately 4 hours. Once at High Camp, set up your camp, have lunch, and rest. Spend the remainder of the day acclimatizing to the higher altitude. Staying active rather than idle will aid in your acclimatization process. Prepare for the upcoming climb with a good night’s rest. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Begin your climb to the summit of Lobuche Peak early in the morning to take advantage of calmer weather. Enjoy panoramic views of Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, and other nearby snow-capped peaks. Spend some time at the summit taking photos and resting before descending back to Thukla. From Thukla, take a helicopter ride back to Lukla for an overnight stay. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Fly back to Kathmandu this morning, reflecting on your mountain adventure. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Thamel for rest or last-minute shopping. Celebrate the completion of your trek with a special dinner, sharing stories and experiences from your journey. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of Kathmandu before your departure. Breakfast included, lunch and dinner at own expense.

Your Nepal adventure concludes today. A Sherpa Expedition & Trekking representative will transfer you to the airport approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight. As you head home, take time to reflect on your trek and start planning your next mountain adventure. Nepal offers many more climbing opportunities for those inspired by their journey. Breakfast included.

Travel Information

Destination Location

Lake Manyara National Park covers 330 sq km (127 sq mi), 70% of which is a lake. Along with its western boundaries is the Rift Valley’s western wall. The park is famous for its birdlife – almost 400 different species – and for its elephant population and tree-climbing lions, who have a large variety of tree species to choose from. The short game-viewing circuit through Manyara offers a microcosm of the Tanzanian safari experience.

One of nature’s true wonders and a photographer’s paradise, Ngorongoro is the largest intact crater in the world, covering 265 square kilometers (102 sq mi). The 2,000-foot deep crater is home to an abundance of wild game including elephants, rhinos, cheetahs, lions, leopards, hyenas, serval cats, jackals, pushbacks, elands, waterbucks, wildebeest, many antelope, and a large variety of birds. This is a sight that you will always remember!

Tarangire National Park covers 6,734 sq km (2,600 sq mi) and includes two large plains and a seasonal swamp in the south. This is a beautiful park filled with Baobabs and Acacias with a large variety of game such as zebras, elephants, giraffes, and waterbuck. All the animals enjoy the water coming from the Tarangire River. The animals are best viewed during the dry season, including elephant herds, elands, oryx, lesser kudo, rhino, leopards, lions, and cheetah. The birdlife is varied and plentiful. You can also see the very rare Roam Antelope in this park.
