Climb with Macon Dunnagan

Zara Tours has a friendly partnership with Macon Dunnagan, 55, author of the novel "Sons of Kilimanjaro". Macon climbs the mountain at least twice every year, and you can join him!

Macon's novel is a captivating tale of four men who climb Kilimanjaro, an endeavour which helps them to overcome their personal struggles. Without being moralising or preaching, in his book, Macon gives inspiration to those who want to learn about unusal experiences and life beyond the limited knowledge. He has climbed Kilimanjaro 35 times and is one of the few individuals who have ever climbed Kilimanjaro twice within one month.

Macon wants to share his mountain and life experiences with everyone and invites you to join him to the top of his favourite mountain.

"Our clients come to Tanzania in expectation our Safaris /Kilimanjaro and journeys on to Zanzibar but also of shopping for and buying Tanzanite for a long term keepsake of their adventure to this wonderful country " said Zainab Ansell President of Zara Tours

"After listening to our Clients needs we understood that there would a benefit for our clients to shop for Tanzanite at the Hotel "Springlands" giving them a truly relaxing enjoyable shopping experience, in a quiet peaceful setting with a certified and well respected local dealer of this gemstone.

She went on to say " Our clients can contact us at anytime before or after they arrive and at their conveyance we would set up a time at the hotel for the Gemologist to come by and a no pressure atmosphere look over the Tanzanite stones and with no obligation to purchase."

We at Zara Tours continue to find ways to enhance our clients experience while in Tanzania and we feel sure that this we be one of many fine memories for them when they return home...
