Swathed in a unique and fascinating rain forest with 30-metre high trees, their buttresses layered with fungi, liches, mosses and ferns, the mountains have been untouched for thousands of years. Five distinct trails cover the forests and mountain peaks within the park, and offer varying levels of difficulty for everyone from novices to experienced trekkers. A trek up to Sanje Waterfall is no ‘walk in the park’. Breathtaking, overwhelming views will be the reward for all efforts. The park is home to at least ten species of primates and several only recently discovered species of birds.
