How many days?

The simple rule is: The greater the number of days on the mountain, the better your chances of reaching the top.

Whether to reach the summit or not is usually a question of how well a climber can acclimatize to the high altitude. Some people's bodies adjust well to the decreased oxygen levels; others do not. The more time you allow your body to acclimatize to high altitude, the higher your chances are to make it to the top.

There are minimum days for each of the Kilimanjaro routes. However, we strongly recommend you to add one or two extra acclimatization days.
